May flowers and... stitches

May was a crazy month, it had a really rough start but ended on a high note!

It all started a couple days before my b-day. I was taking a nice warm bubble bath, after a long day at work. Little did I know the night would soon turn out to be very stressful. Chris was in the basement writing a final, 12 page paper. I had gotten out of the bath and was putting a towel around my wet hair. I must have hit a glass of water (that I had been drinking while in the bath) with my towel. The glass hit the side of the bathtub and broke then fell to the floor. I looked down at the glass thinking "oh that sucks" When I noticed a great big puddle of blood (this is were the story gets graphic), My blood. not just a little but a lot. The glass had cut the top of my foot. Not knowing what to do I put it in the warm bath water (I didn't want a mess on my floor), Very quickly the bath water turn bright red. I started to asses the situation. There was blood all over the floor, side of the bathtub, and now the water was more of a half and half mix. I called to Chris, He was on his way up because he had heard the crash. Chris does not like blood but he must love me because he came in and put pressure on it. Now I don't mind blood and guts, but the shock because it was my foot became too much, I got sick. So here we are, me sitting on the bathroom floor, covered in blood, twisting around to the toilet losing my last 5 meals and all the while poor Chris putting pressure on my foot. On top of that I was in my birthday suit. It was out of control and of course these things always happen at 11:00 at night. I didn't want stitches but Chris and my mom(who was so kind and rushed to the hospital to make sure I was OK) won the argument because when I would move my toes they could see my tendons move. Awesome! I had 4 stitches and couldn't walk for about 5 days because every time I would the stitches would pull and my foot would start to bleed again. I had to miss 3 days of work because I could not put a shoe on. When my family found out what happened they all wanted to know if I took a picture of it. Gross, but I do have a after shot of the stitches. YEAH!

A couple of days later Chris Graduated with his Bachelors in architecture. I'm so proud of him. he is the hardest working person I know. He put in long hours between work and school. Sometimes all night. The graduation was nice, Chris got a lot of cheers walking across the stage. Someone yelled "Chris Brown in the house" everyone jokes with Chris because he shares the same name as the singer. It was good times!

The next crazy thing that happened in May was that on my way to work a semi truck hit me on the freeway. luckily we were only going 5mph so it didn't do much damage to the car or me, but it was so scary I wanted to cry.

The best thing that happen, that ended the month on a great note was that Chris got his acceptance letter into the Master for architecture. We are relieved that he got in! They only accepted 25 people, both in and out of state. And its the only program in Utah. (Chris hates when I talk about him so he will not like all of this, but he is so humble and great he deserves it!) So May ended on a good note, I can't wait to see what happens next!
