Around these parts we are lovers of life. Using that "blinged out" quote which just happened to be whispered from the lips of one of my favorite master artists, along with the awesome powers of deductive reasoning, we can assume that because we are lovers of life, the Browns in fact also love many things.
One of the many things that Chris and I love is art.
This past weekend we took a little stroll in Salt Lake City (Nory calls SLC "Capital City")
Awe, yes, we took a nice, refreshing stroll through Capital City, an art flavored stroll.
It was Evers first gallery stroll. She chilled in the stroller, sucking on that cute little hand of hers, all the while taking in the breathtakingly beautiful art
Remember Nory's first stroll? This time she was equipped with her very special notebook. Anytime inspiration hit, we would stop and let her doodle. She would release that creative, little soul of hers upon page after page of that little pink notebook. Then she would jump back into my arms and we would stare at a painting. She would tell me what colors and shapes she saw dancing across the canvas and then pause to capture that emotion upon the pages of her book.
Being surrounded by all those paintings, she definitely had a lot of inspiration. The art work was done by my favorite local artist, Caitlin Connolly.
This print doesn't do the real painting justice. The colors, the texture, the detail. I am in love and hope to own one of her original paintings one day. I don't care much for bucket lists but if I did, owing one of her works would be on it.
Go see her collection of recent works. The exhibit is called "Women: powerful yet flawed" they will be hanging on the wall at the Art Access Gallery until April 11.
We are lovers of art and therefore lovers of life.
